Arguments
Behind the Dead Sea Scrolls
[ send
me this paper ]
5 pages in length. It was in 1947 that some Bedouins in
the Judean Desert came upon a cave and found inside some
clay jars. Out of curiosity, they broke open the jars and
in one found some bundles containing scrolls. These Dead
Sea Scrolls reveal documents of a strange Jewish sect that
was philosophically opposed to rabbinic Judaism. The
discussion in this paper is about that argument.
Bibliography lists 5 sources.

Article
Critique
[ send
me this paper ]
5 pages in length. M. Cherif Bassiouni’s article
entitled Protection of Diplomats Under Islamic Law
attempts to illustrate how influential Islamic law has
been at the safekeeping of United States diplomats. When
determining whether or not Bassiouni provides a well
researched article, one must consider several elements:
how the author frames and develops his argument; was the
thesis clearly expressed; did the article follow a logical
sequence; what points were made that lead to the
conclusion; was the argument thoroughly developed; how
were primary and secondary resources employed; did the
conclusion adequately state the most important conclusions
that were reached about the subject, as well as the
reasons why those conclusions are significant; and what
was the overall significance of the article. No additional
sources cited.
